The social integration standards, embedded within the CapitaLand SBG, encompass: • Ensuring accessibility in the built environment for people of different age groups and varying abilities • Providing connectivity to public transport, roads, amenities and between buildings • Providing community spaces as public gathering points Universal Design (UD) principles are employed to guarantee that the public areas of our properties are accessible and accommodating to individuals of diverse ages and abilities. For new projects in Singapore, a target has been set to achieve at least a UD Mark Gold certification as assessed by Singapore’s BCA. Overseas properties are to comply with local UD/ barrier-free codes and guidelines, and are encouraged to adopt Singapore’s BCA UD Guide in the absence of local codes and guidelines when undergoing asset enhancement. i CICT is exploring collaboration with electric car charging service providers to increase the number of electric vehicle charging stations at our properties.
