The CMT portfolio comprises Tampines Mall, Junction 8 and Funan The IT Mall, totalling 813,615 sq ft of NLA, as at 31 December 2002. The portfolio’s income stream is well supported by a large and diverse pool of more than 420 committed leases, as at 31 December 2002. The portfolio’s gross rental income was S$88.4 million for the period ended 31 December 2002.

The three shopping centres are strategically located close to public transport. Tampines Mall and Junction 8 are situated in suburban areas and enjoy large population catchments and competitive positions. Funan The IT Mall is centrally located in the central business district (CBD) and is one of Singapore’s premier electronics and information technology (IT) malls.

A total of 332,714 sq ft of retail space was renewed or leased for 2002 and occupancy at the end of the year was 99.8%. The portfolio market valuation increased from S$895.0 million on 1 October 2001 to S$935.0 million on 1 December 2002.

* Daimaru is vacating Junction 8 in March 2003 and will be replaced by NTUC FairPrice and Seiyu in April and May 2003, respectively.
